MCU was a proud sponsor for the Cleburne Education Foundation’s 8th Annual Nashville Lights event last night. Our own Will Head, VP of Lending, serves as the President of the Board of Directors for the foundation. During the event we heard some really good country music from local singers, Texas singer/songwriters currently living in Nashville, and from award winning singer/songwriters from Nashville. The day is recognized to reflect upon the credit union movement’s history, promote its achievements, recognize hard work and share member experiences. International Credit Union (ICU) Day® has been celebrated on the third Thursday of October since 1948.
MCU President & CEO, Paul Elkins, presents a check in the amount of $1,500 to Tammy King, Executive Director of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Johnson County. In lieu of a meal being served at the MCU Annual Meeting, funds were directed to the Children’s Advocacy Center whose mission is to provide each child who has suffered abuse with justice, hope and healing. MCU is honored to support this well-deserving organization.
