MCU was a proud sponsor for the Cleburne Education Foundation’s 8th Annual Nashville Lights event last night. Our own Will Head, VP of Lending, serves as the President of the Board of Directors for the foundation. During the event we heard some really good country music from local singers, Texas singer/songwriters currently living in Nashville, and from award winning singer/songwriters from Nashville. Raffles and a live auction during the evening helped to raise funds for CEF. For more information about CEF or to donate, please visit their website: cleburneeducationfoundation.comCleburne Education Foundation’s (CEF) goal is to seek and obtain contributions from the community to develop and expand educational opportunities for the students of the Cleburne Independent School District. CEF acts as a partner in the community’s overall strategy to support its students and teachers.
Their current top goals are:
- To raise private dollars from the community to invest in projects and programs in Cleburne ISD not funded by local, state or federal tax dollars.
- To support teachers and administrators in their efforts to provide the most innovative and creative learning opportunities for their students.
- To work together with the community and Cleburne ISD so all Cleburne students can achieve their dreams.

MCU President & CEO, Paul Elkins, presents a check in the amount of $1,500 to Tammy King, Executive Director of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Johnson County. In lieu of a meal being served at the MCU Annual Meeting, funds were directed to the Children’s Advocacy Center whose mission is to provide each child who has suffered abuse with justice, hope and healing. MCU is honored to support this well-deserving organization.
